Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Chocolate plus banana equals delicious. Make these for your next brunch or just as a treat. This recipe makes 12 "cupcake" sized muffins.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
1/2 Cup Butter, melted 
2 Eggs
3 Overripe Bananas
1/2 Cup Milk
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Cup Chocolate Chips, plus more for topping
1/4 Cup Raw Sugar, for topping

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a muffin pan with muffin liners.

In a large bowl, add in the bananas and mash. Add in the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and using an electric mixer, mix until well combined.

Add in the milk and mix until combined. 
Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, mix until mostly combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour into prepared muffin pans top with additional chocolate chips, raw sugar, and bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.

Allow to cool slightly and serve.
