Budget Meals

I've been working on a budget meal series due to a request I received. The requester and I had a very interesting conversation regarding the increasing cost of groceries, take out, and convenience items to feed a family.

Now, this conversation had me thinking - is the mental workload it takes for someone to come up with not only dinners, but breakfast items, lunches, snacks, desserts; worth the hassle to the average family? Because unless you are really into cooking or a food blogger like myself it is unlikely that the average family is making each and every meal from scratch.

Which is absolutely okay. No judgement here as I too take many shortcuts during busy days and enjoy getting take out once in a while.

However, it is seemingly apparent that the margin between the cost of buying groceries vs the convenience of eating out has narrowed significantly. That choosing one over the other no longer really saves you money.

All of this to say - I am working on a easily adaptable meal plan for a family of four. That fits within a certain budget. Since I am still trying to get a layout for my approach to this. Let me know what type of budget is most suitable for a family of four in your part of the world.

Or if you have any meal ideas you wish to include.
